Just replaced an R1 drive with R3. it took the license.txt
file but it doen't activate any of the keycodes.
I have rebooted the system with no results.
Can anyone tell what iam doing wrong ?
thanks in advance.

no, I just replaced the bad R1 drive with new R3 Drive

you cant just swap the drives.
its a upgrade R1 --> R3.
Inorder for the licences to stick you need the upgrade key.

ok,
I installed a R2 drive and the license.txt works ok.
the reason why I need R3 is because of SIP lines.
Is there a patch to make this work ?

Patch?
Patches fixes broken software.

You need software, release 3....or as already mention you need a key code to get to R3.

R1 to R2 is the only one that appears to be a free upgrade.....not sure why though.

guys,
thanks for the input.
I got it.
thats why I came here for the right info.
Lots of smart people here.
saludos !

When you inputted your release 1 keycode on the release 3 disk. It might have stated that it had activated OK, but you should have checked the alarm section as you will have had a alarm stating that the keycode was invalid.

All the best
