On a bcm50 r3 I got some keycodes from the KRS.
When I try to load on the system i get
"invalid keycode file" error.

I checked n+1 times systemid in "system-->keycode" on element manager (it matches with the MAC written on the BCM BOX) and the error is not there

I tried to download once again the keycode
I changed PC
I reset the device (level 1 hard reset)
I tried getting some try'n buy licenses

Nothing seems to work...any ideas?
Thank in advance

Did you rename the keycode file? If so, you need to change it back to the original name.

SHK Certified (School of Hard Knocks)
NCSS

I had similar problem. Downloaded new Element Manager. Worked like a charm.

I have element manager 3.0 from BCM 3.0
I tried with more PCs
I tried to enter it manually

:(

Finally it was a BCM problem. I sent it back to the vendor
as RMA

Was the MAC address on the underside of the BCM50 the same as your system ID?? I always thought they were different. I believe the MAC Address on the underside was for the OAM Port, and not the LAN 1 port...

Ideas??

The MAC address on the underside of the BCM50 is the System ID.

NCSS - BCM.

Yes. The system ID on BCM50 is the MAC address of the internal LAN. You can read it on the underside of the BCM
or in system--> keycodes-->systemid field
In this case i opened a case with Nortel, probably is a problem on that BCM itself
