Hello all,

I've recently taken over this system, and have no experience with it, so please bear with me. The sales staff complains that calls forwarded to their cellphones are very static-y and low in volume. So much so they stopped using the feature (which has necessitated hiring a person to take their orders). Can this be fixed, and how??

Thanks all!

The problem you describe is often associated with old-fashioned analog "pots" lines. When a forward to cellphone call takes place, the call comes in on one line and goes out to the cellphone on another line. The BCM performs an unsupervised conference between the two lines. Audio loss occurs on conferences using pots lines.
Pri trunks are digital and preferable to pots lines. There's no audio loss when you set up a conference that's supervised or unsupervised.

Sounds like the lines are also not that great so both make for a bad set up.

Try using Off Premise Notification from the mailbox instead, this way they can check messages when they come in.

I agree with curlycord. I would use the outbound transfer feature on the voice mail box.

Correction not outbound transfer but message notification in mail box.
