Hello All,
I have a strange thing that has happened to one of our offices BCM50. The users followed their guide to change the AA greeting on December 31st to state that the office would be closed on January 1st and reopen on January 2nd. The Users went in this morning(January 2nd) and followed the same procedure but the the password is not recognized.

The steps they followed from a handset to login are

Feature 983
UN 738662
PW xxxxx

They don't recall it ever asking to change the password or that the password was going to expire.

Has this happened to anyone before? Is there a way to reset that password?

Thank you in advance.

I believe the user said it was saying invalid password. Rebooted multiple times.

We had someone come in and they are currently changing the hard drive. The contractor is pretty sure this will fix the issue. He couldn't even connect to it with his laptop.

It has been a bit since I worked on a BCM50...would the Feature 985 password reset procedure that works with the CP100/150 have possibly worked with the BCM50?

That's exactly the same thought that I had when it happened. I will have to get that info from the contractor.

I had them try a couple different reset procedures I found searching the web but none of them worked. Not 100% sure though is the CP100/150 reset procedure was attempted.

The SETNNA account is under control by the NNADMIN account.

It may be that somebody changed the SETNNA password.

Get a tech to site to log via their credentials and reset your credentials unless you know the password for NNADMIN and know how to program accounts etc.
