Hello,

I have a Nortel BCM50 that was migrated from the BCM400. We have a DSM32+ expansion module in it that we moved from the BCM400 and I cannot get the last 16 ports to go to Enabled. I can only get the first 16 to enable. We had ATA adapters on the last ports and I have even tried to put an M7208 on there to no avail. The M7208 does get power, I know it's a good phone, and I know the ports are good - they worked on the BCM400. Is there an issue, perhaps with the software version I am on? I have reset power to the expansion module, the unit itself, all to no good. It just stays stuck in "Enabling..."

I have a BCM50 R3, with system software version 6.0.2.05.237.

Thanks.

On Saturday I did not previously read the full post for some reason, it was the day after Friday....night!
Therefore I have deleted my "plug a phone in" reply.

I also thought I saw another reply about dip switches but it's gone and now means I am losing it but it would be something to look at maybe.

I did mention a reboot as that sometimes does the trick for it all to be acknowledged.
I gather a new amp cable was tried?

You don't say what you have as the full config. 2 expansions? What other if any MBM do you have? Max digital phones is 44. And of course dip switch setting since the the MBM is coming out of a 400.

Thanks for the help! It was the switches on the DSM32+ unit after all. Position 1 was down from it being in the BCM400. Once I had all the switches in the up position, I reinserted the module and the stations on both ports came up.
