Having problems redirecting a Target Line to a foreign mobile within Element manager

Works fine to a UK mobile - within Target Lines, choose DN, type number into "Redirect to" 907xxxxxxxxx - no problems

To a Belgian mobile number, type number into "Redirect to" 90032xxxxxxxxx - error message occurs:

Error happened. Error Detail: 90032xxxxxxxxx is not a valid Redirect to

The Belgian number is valid and can be dialled normally from the phone system. In Public Networks the DN length for a 00 prefix was 17 - bumped this up to 19 just in case but no difference.

Many thanks for any help

is there anything ion routs or destiantion codes that could be causing this for you. I have a bcm50 2.0, I just put you number in question as a redirect on a target line and it took it. My destination code is verry simple though, I only have dial 9-any, use route 0, and remove 1.

Hi BombOne

Our routing/destination includes a second route to connect to a second BCM50 in another office over a VOIP trunk, but I can't see anything there that would prevent the use of an overseas number for the redirect

The phone system can happily connect to the number when dialled manually, it justs looks as if it won't allow a redirect for some reason.

I have temporarily worked around the problem by assigning the target line to a DN with a spare handset attached, and setting a FWD ALL to the Belgian number - this achieves the desired result, but ideally I dont want to tie up the handset.

Cheers

I had the same problem as well, on BCM450 R1. It all worked fine for me for a long time and then one day a long number would not work when redirecting the target line. I noticed that if I removed the last few digits from the number, it was accepted. Of course, this would not work as desired, but at least it confirmed that it was not my routing that was wrong.

To work around the problem without tying up a handset, I created a new route (in Telephony - Dialing Plan - Routing) using the same trunk, and I put the "External Number" to be the foreign phone number. The BCM accepted it in there.
Then I created a 3-digit desintation code to use that route.

Then, in the target line, I put that destination code into the box for redirect. It worked perfectly.
