I need a DDI pointed at an extension that will go engaged if another call comes in.At night I need these calls if unanswered to go to The Voice Mail but never during the day.The customer will not have a forward button on her phone by choice and insists that the forward to VM at night is automatic.If the phone rings during the day it must not go to VM if not answered but must continue to ring ad infinitum.

You can use a Service Mode to send the calls to Vmail automatically on the systems clock. What does "engaged" mean, I've been married 24 years and forgot?

Thanks Deweyhumbolt engaged means most of the permissions and none of the obligations but is a distant memory to me as well.But seriously I want the line to return busy when the phone is in use and ring out without diverting or going to voicemail if not answered.

For a DID to ring busy when there's allready one call on it, you need to set it in your target line. You'll see an option for "If busy" normally it is set "to Prime" but in your case select "busy". That's how we setup target lines for physical fax machines.You want the remote fax to get a busy tone when the called fax i in use.
