BCM50 call forward issue off premise

I need a question answered:
Currently I can call forward my call to a local number, now I want to call forwArd my calls to an 800 number and it will not work. When I call the 800 number it rings and its answered. When I forward to the 800 number it's does not work. Any suggestions?

To activate the call forward we have preprogrammed buttons with Feat 4 and then the second but is programmed by external speed dial. It can forward to any 7 digit number however it will not forward to the 800 number.

To call forward we do Feat 4, then 9+7 digit number and works great. When I do Feat 4, then 9+1-800 number and call can't come in

Do you get an error message while keying in the number?

If not run BCM monitor to watch a call forward in progress. It will give you a clue as to why it won't forward.

i was able to make this work by forwarding to the long distance number, 678-332-xxxx. this works. If i program the 800 number it does not work
