Hello Curlycord.
As far as I know, the migrating of keycodes will be fine, but you will have to rebuild the whole system as you won't be able to do a restore from any previous release up to release 6.
Can you not source another release one disk or image to use if the release 1 is faulty?.
Otherwise you will have to upgrade the BCM 50 from release 1 to release 3 and I think it's another upgrade to release 5 or 6 (Can't be sure of that?).

System ok, just wanting the latest/greatest.
Understand about not able to image and restore...
What I was hoping was for via Backup/Restore in EM was to choose components like Applications etc then restore those.
At least voice mail anyway as heard no changes realy.
But if to be treated like a NAM and MICS then out of luck I guess.
For some reason they chose this method instead of the 1.0 to 3.0 to 6.0 method.
Maybe its cheaper to send the 1.0 back to Nortel, buy a 6.0 and migrate.

Yes, this side of the pond has all this white stuff causing havoc with the transport system. One whiff of it in the UK and it's meltdown with everyone (well, I wish it was!). It's hard to believe that the climate between the two countries is so different?.
Anyway, I wish you (and all the Tek-tip members that have the unfortunate pleasure of knowing me) a really happy break over the festive season and hope that Santa gets you something nice.
