BCM50 Auto attendant issues

I have recently installed a BCM50 6.0 and I am having issues with the Auto attendant. The part where you can enter the extension at any time e.g. 236 I get a response of "you have dial an invalid extension" , if I dial 236 again the call goes to 236. Or at 1st if I dial 2236 it goes to 236. Why do I have to add an additional 2 in front of 236 to go to the right number??? Or why do I have to dial the extension twice to get to the correct extension???

Help Please !!!!
