BCM50 Answer DN question

On a BCM50, Release 3, an operator has 3 lines Appear and Ring on her set. (T7316e)She has a KLM with everybody programmed DSS/BLF. The 3 incoming lines are answered by Auto Attendant. If I dial the main number and get AA, CCR is setup so I can ring to "Jimmy" by pressing 2.

Here is the issue: The operator would like to see "Jimmy's" line flashing on her phone when someone presses 2 to call him so she can pick it up if she knows he isn't at his desk. I setup an Answer DN of his extension on her phone and it didn't work. You can dial his extension directly from another set and that button will flash but not when calling in through the AA.

Can anyone think of a way to make this work? Would it work if I remove the 3 incoming lines from her set?

Try changing the answer dn setting to enhanced or extended. I think that is in feature settings.

I changed it to "Extended" and it still didn't work. It flashes the CO line on her set but not the Answer DN. They won't let me remove the CO Lines from her set to see if that works so we have given up. I let them know about the pickup feature and she will use that if she can hear the set ringing. You know it's funny I had a problem with one the other day that the extention would ring the ans dn but not the line so I added another ans dn for another extention and that one worked then I tryed the original one then it worked. Then I removed the other and it was fine. Strainge.
