I purchased a used BCM50 to use at the family cottage. We don’t have a land line and the cell signal is poor. I figured I could use the BCM50 to connect a few analog phones in the cottage, dock and bunkies. It turns out this BCM50 does not have the 4 analog station ports enabled with keycodes. It has keycodes for 2 analog trunks (which I won’t use), 4 digital stations and 27 IP phones. I only got 1 digital phone set with the system and I was hoping to make this work without spending any more money. I saw a 4 port analog station keycode for sale online for $100 and then I would apparently need to spend another $75 to have it activated on the system. Do vendors still do activations on these systems if they are end of life ? Is there any way to get the 4 analog station ports enabled and kill the IP phones? I suspect the 27 IP phone licenses were more expensive than the 4 analog station ports anyway.
Does anyone have any suggestions ?
