I have spent some time researching this issue, and I think I can't configure the BCM50 and CP to do what I want. However, I'm asking the message board before I give up completely.

I would like an incoming call to be picked up only by the front desk/control set/general delivery voice mailbox. For instance, after 6 rings (either using AA or Fwd No Answer in Element Manager) the outside caller should get sent to the General Delivery box. However, I would like any of the other extensions to forward to voice mail after 4 rings *only* if forwarded by the person at the front desk. Setting the other extensions to pick up with a higher number of rings (>6) when forwarded is inconvenient. Currently, the 4 rings on the user's extension has priority over the 6 rings for the front desk extension, even if set in Auto Attendent.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Have the CP (line administration) Auto attendant pick up lines 61 -64 ( for example) after 4 rings to table 1. Set all users back to 4 rings , Attendant will go on before personal boxes. make sure reception phone stays at 6 rings.

or

program night services (ringing service) on reception phone to vmail after hours.

If you only want the receptionist to ring on inbound calls then you can do it. Just have the lines ring on receptionist which is call forwarded to vmail after 6 rings. The lines don't appear or ring on any other phones. Call forward all other phones to vmail after 4 rings. Don't set up lines admin in the call pilot for any lines. Easy enough.
