I'm trying to configure a destination code so that route 000 (analog trunks) is used until there are no more lines available, then fail over to route 003 (SIP trunk).

For the destination code, I selected Sched 4 under Alternate Routes and specified 000 as the First Route and 003 as the Second Route (set the absorbed length as appropriate).

I then went to Scheduled Services and set Routing Svc to "Auto" for Sched 4, and set the Schedule times to 00:00 and 23:59 for every day of the week.

When I dial out, I get "No free lines" after all the analog trunks are in use.

Can someone point me to what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!!

I have yet to program this but I think it's because it works with scheduling services you may need some reversal programming here.

So as an example if you setup a schedule to use a cheaper carrier at night and all those trunks become busy it will then overflow to the normal route (expensive route).....it cannot do the reverse.

So I am thinking setup a schedule for all day using the cheap routes (Route 000 - Analogs in your case)
Then turn on that schedule.

Hm. I thought that's how I set it up. It seems that the destination code is following whatever the normal route is set to. Hmmm...

I knocked mine down to 2 voip lines and rebooted but I am struggling as well, as if something is conflicting that is not in Schedules, Routing or Dial Plan.

Melissa posted this 15 years ago and was a Norstar:

I put my PRI in PRI-A. I put lines 061-064 into Pool C. I gave my phone access to both pools. I went to Routes and build 2 routes. Route 001 points to PRI-A. Route 002 points to Pool C.
Monitor show it wont even attempt to grab the 2nd route.

Under Destination codes I showed code 8
Normal mode - Next
Night mode - Show
First rte:None - I hit chnge and entered 001
First rte: 001 - Next
Second rte: None - Chnged to 002

I went to Routing service and went under Sched: Night and turned the service to manual and overflow: Y.

My PRI is down. Not working. I turned my night routing on Feature 873, 23646. Then I went off hook and dialed the dest code 8. I bypassed the inactive PRI and it immediately picked up line 064.

I tried it with and without overflow checked. The only thing I haven't tried is setting it to manual and activating it manually. I'll have to see if that works.
