BCM50/400 Backup Problem

BCM400
Version 4.0.2.03

Trying to setup a scheduled backup on our BCM 400 system to a network folder but am having problems.

network folder= \\servername\subfolder
User name= domain\firstname.lastname
Password= ********
directory= subdirectory

I have tried various variations of user credentials, network folder, entering directory or leaving as blank. I have also tried on windows 2003 and 2008 server but all I get when running the 'test connection' is 'Failed'

Looking at the system logs we receive the following 'Backup and Restore - File could not be transferred to the shared folder. Check your login credentials to the shared folder.'

I know my logon credentials are sound.

Seem to be going round in circles with this, should be a simple set-up according to the documentation.

Has anyone set this up successfully, if so can you provide any advice/pointers.
