BCM50 3.0 to 5.0 upgrade

I'm going to be upgrading our BCM50 from version 3.0 to 5.0 later tonite. I've read a few threads here and people make mention of security updates 002 and 003. i searched nortel but couldnt find anything on where to download these patches/updates.

can someone direct me to these?

also, ive read there are issues with upgrading the image to 5.0 after the upgrade, but also found no info on that. any info would be appreciated.

The patches can be downloaded from the ESPL, but you must have access to it.

The issue with applying the image occurs after installing the patches. To avoid it, simply complete the pgrade, install the factory image, then install the patches.

thanks for the response... is the 5.0 image on the same DVD as the 5.0 software or does it need to be downloaded elswhere?

probably a stupid question but what do you really gain in "upgrading" a BCM50 from 3.0 to 5.0?

...3.0 will be md'd. Upgrade to 5.0 and u'll get continued support.

Running a backup now before the upgrade. how long do the backups usually take to run?
