BCM50 2.0 to 5.0 Upgrade

Ok.. Been reading through some posts on here regarding upgrade hell to 5.0..

Now that a few have been able to do this successfully, can you point out highlights, do's and dont's, critical steps in completing a successful upgrade?

Also, has KRS been fixed on generating/migrating the 2.0/3.0 keycodes to 5.0?
