I have a BCM50 2.0 dropping calls. In the middle of a conversation, the call just fades away. These are analog trunks that have supervision. The trunks have been switched between OCCUM and DMS switches with the same result. The system is not losing power. Multiple people are have the same issue. For the most part from what I gather, the problem is on toll type call coming in and going out. I did a reboot at close of business yesterday and as of now, it has not happened again. I haven't added patches since last summer. I know that there are some 2.0 patches out there but for what I read, nothing pertains to what issue I'm having. So i'm leaning on the reboot and doing things one step at a time. I just hate to replace the system with out really knowing if that is it and hate to replace it and it not be the problem. Hope someone has a suggestion.

Probably line tuning was the issue.

Rebooting the system would force the lines to be tuned again and since it was done after hours, they all had the opportunity to set themselves up properly. Manual says to wait at least 5 minutes after the system comes up to allow the line tuning to be performed.

If they all sound good now, I wouldn't worry about it.
