Every four or five days the BCM gives an error of Frame lose has exceeded the limits and then the Circuit will need to be reset from the provider , they have tested all the way to the BCM and the MBM for the PRI has been replaced .you guy's have thoughts
Sounds like this PRI is slipping on you. So let me ask all the dumb questions first.
1. Is your switch fully patched?
2. Have you confirmed all the protocols with the telco?
** Make sure the channels are coming in top down and not most idle.
3. How long has this switch been in service? Has this worked before and then started acting buggy?
3. Is this a traditional PRI or something that is VoIP back-ended?
Let us know and we'll see what the next step is for you to try
The system is about five month's old configured according to the specs (provider)not sure about the topdown
worked fine till the power outage its on ups power
it is a traditional PRI
When you can get a maintenance window, disconnect the PRI cable from the smart jack and connect it to a loopback plug. Go the the administration section in BEM and reset your error counter to see if it runs clean. If not, plug a loopback plug directly into the DTM and test again. If you are running error free, replace the cable to the smart jack. If the first test is free of CRC errors, plug the loop back plug into the carrier's smart jack and ask them to test to it. When they run a test normally, they test to an internal software loopback, leaving a portion of the smart jack circuitry untested. I've had a couple of instances where the carier ran clean to their loopback but the smart jack ended up being bad.
