Hi all,

I have already upgrade a Bcm400 Rls4.0 to Bcm450 Rls6, i have applied the keycode for raid and i have pluged at second slot (right) the blank disk that send me Avaya.
I applied the keycode at the system and i made a reboot just in case that needed.
When the system came up the raid led and the second disk led remain off.
I shutdown the system, i unplugged and plugged again the disk and i boot it, but unfortunately i took the same results.
I went to the Administration->System Metrics->Disk Mirroring and i saw a message that said Faild to query raid status

Do you have any idea about my case?

HDD-2 LED is Off after installing second hard disk

When you apply a RAID upgrade kit to an
existing BCM450 5.0 software system, the LED
indicator of HDD-2 remains off afte
r installing the second hard disk.
Perform the following actio
ns when this occurs:
1
Verify if the version of the running software
is BCM450 5.0 or greater. BCM450 1.0 systems
are incompatible with RAID upgrade kit.
2
Verify if the hard disk is seated properly.
If not, shut down the system, remove the second ha
rd disk, and reset it, ensuring the hard disk
tray is firmly locked to the rear SATA connec
tion. When the hard disk
clips into the correct
position as the hard disk tray locks itself firmly
into position, the front of
the second hard disk
tray must be flush with
the first hard disk tray

Make sure you have the latest patches installed--there was a problem with RAID that was fixed with a patch.

Thank you for your answers!

I have patched the system with the latest update and it's sure that the disk is correctly plugged on the backplane.
Do you know if the second disk must have loaded the current release? or it must be black as it came from Avaya?
