My system needed a reset a few times a year to get the Voicemail and call center running again. Now the voicemail is "down" and the call center is also. This may sound a bit stupid but is there a way to replace the VM. Is it a flash drive or is it software on the hard drive? I have tried everything I know and have read on line. Any help would be great.

Its software on the HD but there is no install for Callpilot only.

Your issues is most likely the hard drive is pooched and wont boot up.

Other possibilities are
-the known Base Function Tray issues (green capacitors look like they are ready to explode) and replaced by a BFT with blue caps.
-Power Supply

The system boots up and the phones work. Both HDs look to be working (green lights flashing into yellow) I just don't have vmail and callpilot. I looked for the green caps and they look like the blue ones. system was install in 2006.

Your HD is toast. The system's digital phones will function without the HD, but no apps will work (voice mail, Call Center, SIP trunks, IP phones, etc).

so what you're saying is I'm screwed. lol If I replace the two HDs will I need to reload software, program the call center and IP Phones all that stuff. I do have the 3.7 GA Software for Imaging Tool.

Don't panic just yet. If you have 2 drives, there's a very good chance that the RAID board is screwed. I've seen that more times that I would like to admit to.

Before you start replacing drives, try bypassing that board by plugging the drive signal cable directly onto each drive and see if things come back up. It only takes about 10 minutes to try it. Might save a lot of headaches.

As stated above, the BCM system will still run (which is a good thing). However no IP functions will work. It sounds as if you have the older Windows NT version BCM 400 V2.x or 3.x etc.

If you are lucky (and I hope you are!) in following the above suggestion in trying to get a working disk running again, then please get a backup done and you will probably need to dig out an old computer that has outdated Java on it. Windows XP etc.

Well after trying everything on Friday and nothing worked, I came in this morning and its all working. I love the "FM" that happens here. Ok now for the backup, The network guy that set it up in 2005 is no longer here. He had it going to another sever on our network. do I get my IT guys to work their magic or should I get the old XP laptop out.
