Has anyone had a problem backing up a BCM400 with 4.0 software version onto a USB ThumbDrive?
I have a Customer whom has been backing up their BCM onto a 1GIG ThumbDrive successfully. However when they use a new 8GIG ThumbDrive, or any other ThumbDrives for that matter, they are unable to do so...I believe there is a USB version compatibility issue...Is this true?

Have you got this patch loaded ?

Software Update BCM.R400.167-NCGLKERNEL Description:
----------------------------------------------------

- BCM 4.0 software does not supports multiple USB
flash storage (thumb) drives to be mounted without
rebooting the system. There is no issue found when
the same USB drive is used, however if a different
one is used then the sy stem fails to correctly
mount this USB drive, and a reboot is required to
mount the drive as expected.

This kernel update addresses this issue and allows
mounting a USB drive, then unmounting it and
mounting another without rebooting.
