I'm trying to find out if anyone has had any experience connecting a BCM400 to an Indyme MTS(Indyme unit acts as an AA). Our configuration has the POTS line from the Telco ringing Line 121 which is assigned to ext301(1st port on GASM) , which is the first port of the Indyme. Whats happening is that if you call the main number and the call rings line 121 appearing and ringing on analog ext301/Indyme port 101, if the caller hangs up the CO disconnects the line, but the Indyme message is still playing, so if you call the now free main number again the line RNA until the Indym message is over and the port frees up. Then the call is answered, but its like 10 rings later.

So my question is, are there any options available on the GASM side to send any other disconnect signal than the 850ms OSI?

Thanks, Bill

I would love to, but this is a service order I am doing third party. The company( a national chain) uses this setup in a lot of their stores. The tech from Indyme said this would happen at all the other stores too setup with this configuration. The Call-Pilot would have been my 1st choice, but.......... I'm just the hands and eyes and trying to help get it resolved.

Try setting Disconnect supervision (GASM only) check box in
Active Sets/Capabilities and Preferences/ATA Settings.

"Select this feature for the system to disconnect the line from the device when it receives the disconnect from the far end. (If your modem or fax machine that (sic) does not disconnect automatically)"

I've also noticed if the bix terminations are sloppy for the analog lines or sets you end up with analog lines locking up on analog sets.(Bad terminations- capacitance)

When I find myself on the road less travelled, it just means I'm lost.

KE4, I beleive the box is checked for this option in the ATA settings. I'll try to confirm with the level 2 tech to make sure.

SupportDude, I think you are on the right track. The Indyme tech mentioned that he was listening for a cadence from us, but all I hear after the disconnect is talk-battery. My gut feeling is that there is something that can be changed on the Indyme side to recognize the disconnect.
