BCM400 overhead paging solution

Hey all,
I have a BCM400 providing service for 2 integrated but separate businesses. I have the sets separated into paging zones, but as I have only one overhead page output, I enabled overhead on business 2. Well now business 1 wants overhead as well, but in a separate zone. I mentioned a zone controller and they thought that would be too much trouble to dial a zone code as well as the possibility that it would not be simultaneous with the sets paging zones. Has anyone run into this before? Solutions??

The BCM only has 1 overhead paging input and it does not support overhead zone paging. The only way to connect a 2nd overhead page would be to connect it to a trunk port, but that will not allow for paging over the sets.

Hi,
We had similar requirements in one of our installation. There is an inexpensive solution for that. You just need paging adapter which will get you across Void trunk or IP network. We bought them from Teletech Communications Inc. 877-677-0202. With that adapter you will page the same way you page know.

I forgot to mention, Teletech has also a paging adapter which works on Nortel digital extension.
