Here is a good one.

BCM400 V4, 3 x PRI, 3 x DSM32
All extns have access to PRI-A, All PRI modules are in PRI-A

When 40 users are on a call, anyone else who dials out receives No Channel Available.

Is this a resource issue?

Any pointers

My guess is that its a telco problem. I have one of my co-worker in Quebec that had the same problem but with 2 PRI's and they were only able to use 29 channels on outbound at the same time
It turned out to be a programming error at the Telco.
Of course they never admitted it but at least the customer was satisfied being able to use its 46 channels...

Thanks Gberger,

We found out today what the issue was. All users are using Lan Cte to dial out, and as the system had isdn diallup configured, this utilised 27 of the signalling/media channels which only gave them 32 channels.

After removing the WAN settings and isdn diallup, system resources now give them the 59 channels back, and during the course of today no error messages received.

Thanks anyway

Thats why the BCM Monitor progran is so helpful, it would have shown you how many resources you had and how many you where using.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
