I am working on a BCM400 I think maybe a 450 that was going to be reused ad reinstalled. The label says BCM400 and I was able to get the login screen on my laptop at 10.10.10.1 however I am unable to get in with the usual ee_admin and default password. supervisor and default password did not work. I believe that it was defaulted because the starting DN is 221 and when I went into F983 it asked for a password I used the usual one and it started to configure.

What is strange is that I am able to get into programing via the teleset **266344 and that PW is also the default. That is what makes me believe it was defaulted. However I am unable to login using the EM program at the login screen. Any suggestions and aI using the correct default admin and passwords properly?

If your software release for the BCM400 is at 4.0, then the login account will have changed from ee_admin to nnadmin.

You might want to connect up a serial port onto the front of the BCM 400 and see if you can login at 9600 baud.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

The password to login via telset are different from the password via the browser or Element Manager. Via the browser (BCM 400 at R3.7 or lower) you use ee_admin and password. Via Element Manager (BCM 400 at R4.0) you use nnadmin and password. Even though the programming database for the phones has been defaulted this does not default the login password via browser or EM.

thank you, I understand. If I use a serial port ( I assume I could use Putty like I do on the call pilot? ) how would I log in? Would I use the same ee_admin or nnadmin or is there another way to login when I get the login screen via serial? Can I for example break in a CHANGE programing like I do in the Call Pilot? Thank you
