Hi all,

I have a question regarding the issue of internal communication between sites/locations with one BCM400 system.

To be more specific this is our current environment:

One central/main location and 3 branch offices. Regarding the VPN, we have a star topology i.e. every branch office make a VPN connection to the router at the main site. The main site also consists of a BCM400 system which is intended to serve the employees from all sites. We have Nortel IP Phones 2001, 2004 & 2007 Series disposed among the branches.

Ofcourse everything works fine within the main location (which btw. has BCM400) and also the communication between the main site and the branch offices. However the branch office users can not communicate between themsleves.

I'm aware that this is data/routing problem, but couldn't think of how to set all of the routing to pass through the main site.
Would you think that switching to MESH topology will solve this issue?

Btw. we have the following equipment regarding VPN/Routing:

Main Site: NVR (Nortel VPN Router) 1010
Branch 1: Cisco PIX
Branch 2: BCM50 w. Router
Branch 3: Linksys WRV200
---------

Thanks,
Ivo
