Has anyone had any issues with fan noise? Is it part of the main PS and should I try to replace the fan or just pull the entire main PS out and replace that. This system is over 10 years old.

The fans can become noisy and even stop. Best to just see if you can clean it up fist and free any dirt and dust that has collected over the years. Even clean out the BCM is worthwhile.
You should be able to replace it easy enough.
