Hi All,

I want to give me assistance on this case.
I Have Installed BCM400 In the Egyptian Embassy here in Amman _ Jordan, with the following Modules:-
3 DSM+32
2 G 8*16
I Put the DipSwitches with douple Density (2\6) as follows:
Bus 2,3,4 : 3 DSM+32
Bus 5 , offest 3,4 : 2 G 8*16
All the Station Modules (3 DSM+32=96,2 G8*16=32/96+32=128) worked well, but in the Active Physical lines, there just 12 lines of the 16 is available and active.
and Referring to Telephony Resourses I Found that one of the loop in bus 5 is inactive.
Knowing that I have to change the Buses, offest and Enable/Disable this module more than once but the problem is still.
Can any of you to my guide or give me assistance on this issue.

I would replace the 2 x G8x16 by one DSM32+ and 2 x GATM8, that way you have your DSM32+ on buses 2,3,4,5 and the two GATM8 on bus 6 and still have one free bus.
Remember you can mix trunk module on the same bus but can't mix station modules.

If you have the resources to change the modules, I would go with gberger's suggestion.

With your current configuration, I'm surprised it works as well as it does. My understanding of the BCM is that you can't assign two 8X16 modules to the same bus. According to what I have observed and been taught, (1) 8X16 takes two bus because you can't have trunk and station on the same bus. If you have (2) 8X16 assigned to bus 5, and all your stations are coming up as bus 6, and some of your lines on both modules are working on bus 5...that's just extraordinary...I don't think I could get that to work here in the US.

If you still have bus 7 available, stick a GATM 4 in there for your other 4 lines, hope the system keeps your current configuration, and call it a day.

It sounds like your an LES with the DOS. It would be wise to contact FPT for more help.
