Hi guys.
I'm hoping to get some help setting up our dial-by-name/company directory feature within AA.
We are having problems where when the caller presses # at the AA greeting, instead of the company directory, it takes the caller straight to the CCR Tree.
I've searched the forum for solutions but so far I can't figure out what we could be missing.

"Return to Auto-Attendant" checkbox is check in the Auto-Attendant Properties.
"Disable DN Dialing" boxes are unchecked in the Greeting Table Setup.
"Number of Rings" is currently set to "0" in the Line Properties. And changing this value to 4 didn't seem to make any difference.

Also worth noting, pressing * during the AA greeting doesn't transfer to the Mailbox either. As with the # key, pressing * takes the caller to the CCR Tree and rings at the extension.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Check the SDN. If not that patches and patches.
In the CCR I think there are codes to tranfer callers to the CCR directly, check there.

You are probably using the call pilot interface, use the nvm interface instead.

Thanks for your suggestions guys. I really appreciate it.
I have some follow-up questions.

cook1082: The CCR Tree is indeed a "Home Transfer Node" to the extension (Outdial Method: Intercom). Is this a problem?

gberger: I've tried switching the mailbox interface to NVM but it doesn't seem to have much effect. The call still goes straight to the extension (or the CCR Tree) upon hitting the pound or asterisk signs at the Auto-Attendent greeting.

gberger: Were you referring to changing the "Primary UI Style" to "NVM" in the System Properties? I just noticed that ours is set to CallPilot.

In the outdial is an Ext number there.
The home node is usually for a greeting press 1,2 3, 4 etc...
And for the NVM yes change it there but it still should go the directory. If you dial 88 instead of ** does it work?

Yes i'm referring to changing the "Primary UI Style" to "NVM" in the System Properties.

Thanks so much for your help and clarification guys!
When I changed the "Transfer Node" type of my CCR Tree to something else, say "Menu Node," the dial-by-name feature became available!

Thanks once again for your great help!
