I have setup an AA that should return to the AA after 6 rings if not answered to repeat itself. it does not do this though....PAIN.

Any ideas would be welcome.

thanks

Return to AA set to yes.

Unless a phone is also set to ring on that line and the fna is set lower or DRT of that line is set lower to prime of a set.

Hi Thanks for this but it still does not work. it goes to a womans voice and then cuts the caller off!!

VM from the provider? Line will go off on equipment.

Redirect to a cell or land line?

Look at the line see if it picks up another line for redirect.

Are you saying that the call goes to general delivery without the option off leaving a message?

Yes,

But i have setup a AA as a transfer node and it picks up the call after 6 rings and says 'we are busy please wait' then it goes back to the hunt group and rings. It then goes to GD Mailbox, it should go back to the AA to repeat the greeting but does not. AA repeat is ticked so i dont understand what is wrong.

Thanks

Ok i see now what you have done and want.

Firstly AA does not repeat it the way you want.
What i think you require is the message to repeat "'we are busy please wait'" then return the call back to the hunt group again.

As Cook1082 says set up an SDN tagged to the hunt group extn number
Then tell the SDN to use the greeting table you have set up.

EG HG1 extn 463.

Create SDN 463 and from the options tell it to use Greeting Table 1. or what ever table you are using
Then set the overflow of the Hunt group to go to voice mail(F985 DN)

Now what happens is the hunt group will overflow to voicemail.
The voicemail will look for the SDN or mailbox.
If it sees an SDN tagged then it follows this and transfers the call to the greeting Table.
It will play the Greeting table message and follow the options.

Hope this helps

SDN --service directory Number.
Call pilot-Configuration- Service Directory Number

Service Directory Number Table
Service DN features
The Service Directory Number (DN) Table links individual directory numbers to specific features. You set up the Service DN Table with entries that map a DN to a feature.
The Service DN Table can have a maximum of 30 entries.
To receive Service DN treatment, a caller must dial the Service DN directly.
A caller who is redirected to the Service DN, for example, from Call Forward All Calls, does not receive the Service DN treatment.
When callers dial the DN, they connect to the feature that you set up in the Service DN Table.
A Service DN can be a:
DN associated with a Business Series set.
 You must plug the set into the BCM for the DN to function as a Service DN.
 The DN must be set to Call Forward All Calls (CFAC) or Call Forward No Answer (CFNA) to the voicemail DN.
DN associated with a GASI port.
 You do not have to plug the analog phone set into the BCM
to function as a Service DN.
 The DN must be set to Call Forward All Calls (CFAC) or Call Forward No Answer (CFNA) to the voicemail DN.

Hunt group DN.

 You must set the overflow DN for the corresponding hunt group to the voicemail DN.
For example a hunt group is required that will forward unanswered calls to Greeting Table 2.
To configure this scenario:
 Set the hunt group overflow DN to be equal to the voice mail DN.
 Then program the hunt group DN in the Service DN table associating it with Greeting Table 2.
In this example a Service Directory Number has been set up using a Hunt group DN of 397. This will forward unanswered hunt group calls to the auto attendant greeting table 2.

Select the Service DN Type. If you choose a Greeting Table as the Service DN type, the Greeting Table number displays in the Value field in the Service Directory Number Table.
Service DN Type
Description

Voicemail DN
Direct log on to CallPilot voicemail.

Express Messaging
Leave message for any subscriber's mailbox without the subscriber's telephone ringing.

Name Dialing
Connect to a subscriber by spelling the subscriber’s name using the dialpad.

Auto Attendant
Connect to Auto Attendant.
Greeting Table
Connect to a Greeting Table, if you are an external caller. Internal callers connect to Auto Attendant.
7. Once you have selected the Service DN type click Submit.

Hope this Helps

That's Call Pilot Mini talk!!!

We are dealing with BCM Call Pilot and not Mini software correct?.

"AA repeat is ticked"

Where exactly do you see that setting? are you sure its not "Return to AA"?

Either way I dont think it can transfer a call to an HG or set then bounce back to AA unless maybe Return to AA is set to Yes, GD is turned off and that not sets involved are forwarded to vmail.
Return to AA is for what happens to a caller after listening to an Information box or leaving a message for a user.

If your mean "Repeat" that you need to assign a key for.

Service Directory Number is a BCM function.
The previous extract was from the BCM Guide

"Call pilot---Configuration--- Service Directory Number"

what happens is the hunt group will overflow to voicemail.
The voicemail will look for the SDN association
If it sees an SDN tagged then it follows this and transfers the call to the greeting Table.
It will play the Greeting table message and follow the options.
EG: Table 1
Greeting Message 1 "Please wait all our staff are busy"
CCR 1 : Transfer node to HG1 (473)

Rings the Hunt group and when the overflow timer is up it starts the process again

When the CCR tree follows the transfer prompt it starts the process all over again thus creating a REPEAT LOOP.

It works as i use it quite alot to create dummy call queuing with a message repeat to say they are still busy.

I know its not as good as Call Centre but it kind gives what some customers want which is a basic repeat message.

Thnaks for this, however the callpilot does not have a SDN section in it at all. It is quite old software, could this be why?

Repeat CCR Menu Prompts

Select this check box if you want CCR menu prompts to play twice for callers.

For example, a caller calls a line that Auto Attendant answers and Auto Attendant redirects the caller according to the Greeting Table specified for that line. If that Greeting Table indicates that a user defined CCR Tree is set up, CallPilot plays the first menu prompt of the specified CCR Tree to the caller. If the caller does not make a selection after hearing the prompt, the prompt is repeated once.

This setting applies to user defined CCR trees and is not available if there are no CCR trees.
The default setting is selected.

As for SDN I confirmed Snowman's response....it is under Configuration/Service Directory Number Table under Fax properties, if you don't see it then maybe your right and system is too old.
I was dialed into BCM50 Rls 3

A star for snowman for pointing it out anyway, I thought it was just a Mini or SRG feature.
