I need to connect an ASM8+ station port to an external paging system that would normally connect to an analog trunk port. The BCM400 does not have any available analog trunks.

Is there a ringdown or similar external device I can use to accomplish this? In effect this would be the same as connecting two co lines together. When the analog station port extension is called it should provide paging system dialtone to the caller.

Thanks

Alternately some way of adapting the BCM's built page-out port would work too, as long as it will pass DTMF. The paging system only has the CO line input.

You need a CO port for this to work an ASM wont do it.
The page port only sends tip and ring it will not pass DTMF.

cook, a question. I learned on the Norstar forum tda, that from MICS 6.1 and up the page port sends DTMF, never knew. So, the MICS will send DTMF over the page port and BCM won't?
