I have a BCM400 3.7 in Peurto Rico. I don't normally deal with Alternate Language. The tech set it up and when you dial in you get Spanish as the primary language. You can listen to the greeting and the CCR options and everything works great. If you don't choose anything it will transfer you to the attendant. However, if you press 9 for the alternate language everything works good but when you don't choose anything it does not transfer you to the attendant it says "exiting the system, goodbye". All known settings have been checked. Any ideas?

That's the way it's been working since the first release
of Nortel voice mail (ie: startalk).
There's no work around except maybe tell your customer
to press "0" to reach an operator when they're in the
alternate language.
What Nortel was thinking about this, was since the customer
press "9" to get the second language, that means they have
"touch tone", versus people who have rotary phone, in the main language have the ability to be transfer to the operator if they stay on the line.
