Hello,

Customer is downsizing and wants to switch from pri to pots. BCM400 4.0.

Do the following steps look okay?

1. Disable module in Maintenance.
2. Power system down, remove DTM.
3. Insert GATM8, power system up.
4. Select GATM8 in Hardware.
5. Enable module in Maintenance.

Thanks in advance

Thank you sir for the pointer and the link to the bcm dipswitch charts. I've been examining the charts.

I'm not sure how to determine the desired bus and offset though?

This BCM has four card slots. The digital trunk module is in the bottom slot. There are digital station modules in the three slots above the DTM.

Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you again sir.

The pbxbook instructional mentions "GATM 8: eight analog trunk ports. Each port uses one line in the DS30 bus offset. Because each DS30 bus has four lines per offset, you require two offsets for each GATM 8."

Assuming the DTI is using bus 2, would I be correct that using offset 0 would mean setting all 6 dips to on?

The chart appears to show two different dip switch 1-6 settings associated with GATM8 offset 0.

Can't help but be curious - the line directly under all dips on, the one that shows dip 3 off, is that not also part of offset 0?

Maybe someone could point out a Nortel document that explains the slot/bus/offset relationship?

I've been searching with no success.

Thank you Firebird Scrambler for the information link.

But when I open it all that appears is a blank page.

I've tried different browsers.

Is there another way you could provide a link to the file?

Thanks again, kp
