BCM400 4.0 Hunt Group Scenario 1

Here is what I got programmed for this one.

Target line 325 rings only on x104 (Main BTN). I have the forward NA on x104 going to hunt group DN of 504 after three rings. The hunt group has x111, x112, and x117 assigned in a sequential mode with the over flow going back to x104. Each set in the hunt group is programmed for three rings (Appear And Ring) before going to the next extension in the hunt group. When the call over flows back to the receptionist it starts all this over again. The calls never go to the general delivery Mbox.

The other Thing is that after hours they put it in night service to have AA pick up right away. So when someone presses zero to leave a message in the gen Mbox they can not because it goes through the hunt group. After hours if someone presses Zero it needs to go to Gen Mbox.

What could I be missing on this one?

0 is not Gen Del, it is Oper which is ext 104.

That is correct the general mbox 100 is assigned to x104. when they press zero to leave a message after 3 rings the hunt group picks up. They realy need it to go to the general mbox after a couple of rings if recep is not there.

Go into Operator Settings and choose Attndnt. Available "N" or maybe it's uncheck. Then any zero out goes directly to GD.

You could also rearange the hunt group. Instaed of TL 325 ringing to x104, you could have it ring directly into the hunt group. You could label your HG Main, 555xxxx, etc.... Set x104 to FNA to VM. Then make x104 the first member of your HG. An incomming call will ring x104, then x111, x112, and x117. Overflow the HG to x104. Durring the day calls will route through the HG, and if unanswered they should go to the Gen Mbx. At night when a caller dials 0 it will ring x104 x times and then go to the Gen Mbx. Attendant will need to be available in Callpilot settings. Hope this helps.
 
Thanks for the imput guys. I tried philm24 post, but now what happens is when you put the system in "night service" the AA does not pick up rite away it goes through the hunt group. It looks for some reason if the target line is assigned to the hunt group night service will not work.

Also for some reason the general deliver mailbox will not beep after the greeting. The greeting in gen deliv plays but no beep. It records the mesaage. I am assuming that there is a patch for this issue.

Any thoughts

Use multiplpe hunt groups:

x104 CFNA to HG 1
HG 1 overflow to HG 2
HG 2 (with x104 only) overflow to VM DN
GD Mailbox with Alt1 extension of HG 2..

He is a new issue. The recep only wants to take 1 call at a time so if she is one a call they want it to go to the hunt group to ring the extensions of x111 then x112 then x117.

So what is happening is when the recep puts the call on hold pages the employee and they call x104 (recep) it goes into the hunt group.

So what I have done is given her an additional phone upfront of x100 and told her to have employee's call her on 100. then she can go back to x104 take the call off hold and transfer to extension they are at. Ofcourse the customer hates this option. So then I put an answer DN of 100 on x104. but they do not like that either. They want the recep to be known as x104 only.

So is there a way I can make her receive calls internally with her FOB going to hunt group scenario.

I will admitt I am very ignorant when it comes to hunt groups.

Instead of putting the call on hold, why not use PARK and then PAGE with the PARK DN and the Employee won't have to call the Recpt back as they just call the PARK DN the Recpt paged with. Use the features that come with the system and make life easier.

I could not afree with you more. The customer refuses to use the Park & Page. I am about ready to explode on these people. The are asking for things that just not able to do. I have tried many basic work arounds for them and they just insist that since their old system operated in the function they are asking for this system should do the same. This is one of those customers you just can not please. I went over evrything with them this morning again for the 12th time on how it works and gave them some options. I have thrown my hands up at this point that you to everyone for there inputs.

I am sure everyone here has this type of customer every ounce in awhile.

Just tell them this is not there old system and if they where so happy with it, why did they get a new one?

Not all CAR's have the same features and phones system's are the same way.
