BCM400 3.7 no Vm or access

I have a BCM400 3.7 that had a problem that voice mail was down. After rebooting the BCM the voice mail is still down and now I cannot access the BCM via lan or the serial port. The system only has a PRI and digital phones which are still processing calls okay. Can the hard drive be bad and still allow the system to process TDM calls? Any ideas which part would be the first to replace since I have no access to the system?

It sounds like are going to be replacing the drive.I hope that you have a recent backup for the Voice Mail restore. If you have the Bit Imaging Tool all you have to do is re-image a drive with 3.7 software. Make sure you load the latest system patch in the new drive(BCM_370.213_SU.99.3) After replacing the drive don't forget to do an upload to the MSC card. Telephony programmong should be retained & you will only have to re-input key codes & restore VoiceMail.
