The original problem was users are receving Inactive feature for any attempt to Voice Mail.. A1 teletronics tells us it’s a bad hard drive. WE are in the process of getting this replace but before we do, is there a disk Mirroring option. WE have been told the manual does mention this? Can this be done, any advice would be helpful.

I also can't remote into the machine due to this failure, If and when we replace the drives what is needed to have that returned? Just a new drive? How would I enter the key codes if I can't access?
(This is not as important as the above question)

Phillip A. Yancey
Thanks in advance

There is a disk mirroring option available. Did you order your system with that option? I'm guessing not, or your system would be running now, unless both drives failed.

You can add the mirroring option as a field installed option.

When you put in the new drive, you'll need to either restore from backup, or re-enter keycodes and reprogram CallPilot and any other applications you use. Telephony programming will remain.

I walking into this network, it was orginally set up by sprint. You would think they would have pushed for this. Unless sprint was doing remote backup for them, they don't have any.

When you say a field install option, Meaning I can set it up within the system settings itself? or is there a kit I need to purchace?
I personal have ... no experince with bcm besides the few things I've done, .. which is really just replacing bad power cable and adding some extentions. Im More of a computer Tech / Nortel MICS person.
Thanks for the quick responce.

It's a kit you need to purchase - RAID upgrade kit P/N is NTAB3418. They also offer a redundant PS and fan kit also. Not a whole lot to installing it if I remember correctly.

I really apreciate all the help, Have a mary December and a safe new year.

Phillip.

Of the 10 BCM's I have had this problem, No Vmail, unable to access BCM Via IP or serial port. it has always been the motherboard with leaking caps. they are covered by Nortel.
