We have old number that used to be the main line since this is the first number (DN=4000). This is the number for the control set and ring at reception phone.
For the last couple years, we have been using the other number (DN=6000). We would like to use this and remove 4000 from the phones completely.
I just login to the Element Manager (EM) and see the 4000 is the control set. Is it possible to remove 4000 from the phone.
I am not familiar with the BCM admin, can someone help me
Current phone Detail:
Line 240
Appearances 1
Pri. Received # 4000
Pub. Received # 4000
Line 250
Appearances 2
Pri. Received # 5075
Pub. Received # 5075
Line 260
Appearances 2
Pri. Received # 6000
Pub. Received # 6000

I removed the line 241 from this set and I called xxx-4000 and it is still ringing to this phone.

What would be the simplest way to do this? We happen to this number, it can go nowhere as long as it does not ring to the reception phone. (I mean if we do not have to remove the number and do Call Forwarding instead)

Just change DN's from 4000 to 6000 and all info should follow. Then program the target line on 6000.

Hi endlesswinter,

Can you please confirm this step?
Change DN's from 4000 to 6000:
Go to Telephony -> Dialing Plan -> DNs and change the DN (in All System DNs) from 4000 to 6000

Program the target line on 6000:
Telephony -> Line ->Target Lines-> Line 241 (the first line in the target lines)
Do I only need to change the Control set and Prime set?
Do I only need to change the line 241?
The control set is 4000 in all of the lines, do I need to do it in all of them?
