Our telecom person has left the company so this has been dumped into my lap. I've only done a small amount of work on this system so be easy on me! Here's the problem:

I recently moved some people around the office. I used set relocation to do it; enabling it, then moving the phones, testing and disabling it again. All but one set is working correctly. The problem set will receive calls internally, as well as if someone from the outside dials the main number and punches in their extension, but outside calling directly to that extension will not work anymore. It will simply ring and ring and will never go to voicemail or anything like that. What are the steps I have to take to identify the problem?

I've looked and there is a line assigned to that DN but I'm really not sure how to go about checking if that's the correct one.

Thanks in advance.

Do your outside # range, match your internal DN range? If so, tell us what they are, what your DN has as both and what the internal DN is for the problem tel (Ftr*0, intercom).

I'm not sure how to check the outside DN range. How would I check this? If I view all DN (active and inactive) my range is from 6100-6411. The problem DN is 6150.

Thanks.

Your outside DN range would be your DID (Direct Inward Dial)range. What outside # did you dial that did not reach the problem tel.

Target Lines are how the DIDs get to the internal DNs. You find what Target Line Number is associated with the incoming digits, 6150 and make sure it Rings Only on DN 6150.

Beautiful. The target line was pointing to the wrong public number. I removed that number from the old target line and changed the correct one and we're good to go now.

Thanks for the help!
