Does anybody knows where the system id on a BCM is located (re hardware) Is it on the MSC, on the main board or another part?

Reason why I need to know is the result of a power fluctuation where our motherboard burned :( I am thinking to replace the main cabinet and to keep the MSC, so if the systemID is there I will just move the MSC and the hard drive so in theory I will be up immediately.... am I right or not?

Thanks

There's a white label on the MSC card with the system ID.

Did the MB burn or is it the capisitors, green bad, Blue Good.

If it's the Caps, Nortel will replace the MB for free until 6/30/08.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
