I have a system that intermittantly drops all active calls. There can be upto 5 active calls then all calls will be dropped, the users will then try to redial again but get a message "No free lines" on their phones. After a few seconds if the user tries to dial out they are able to grab a line and dial out.

The system was installed 2 months ago but this problem has happened on 4 occasions in the last 2 weeks. The system is running 3.7 with a DSM32+ and a DTM. The system has never been patched.

Anyone expericenced similar problems to this???

I'm trying to get Cumulative Patch 1 for 3.7 but I'm not sure if this will resolve the problem.

Many thanks in advance.

Is the clocking set correctly? Should be set to primary if this is the only T-1 in the system.

If clocking is set correctly, and you've verified your cables, etc that connect to the circuit, it would be worthwhile to report it to your telco and have them monitor/test the circuit.

biv343 - Thanks for your reply. The clocking is set to primary for the PRI circuit. BT have said that there have been no problems with the circuit and are pointing the finger at the BCM.

Still trying to get the Cumulative Patch 1 for 3.7 but can't download it from the Nortel website. Does anybody know where I can download this??

Again many thanks.
