Hi guys, my first thread here after joining today. You guys know what you're talking about and can hopefully help me.

I've ghosted a test system, BCM1000 HD using ghost2003 but did not use any command line parameters, just a straight foward clone within windows xp pro.

When placing the new ghost HD into the system, it doesn't bring me the blue nt loading screen?

When I place the original HD back into the system it's doing eactly the same which it wasn't before i ghosted it.

Any information about whay has happened and why and of course are there any steps i can take to remove what ghost has placed on the orignal disk would be so much appreciated..

Many thanks for your time.

Paul.

Not knowing exactly what step/ option you used with ghost2003 but my guess is your WINNT partition is not active ( no blue screen ) . Check that first . Still puzzle why it mess up your source hard drive unless you accidentally clone it with a blank new drive which would wipe it clean ...

It is always better to save the orginal drive image , then use this image to restore over the new drive . I always do mine ghost in true DOS - not XP dos env and it yet to give me any problem

Correct DOS cmd for BCM400 v3.7 as pointed out by many users here is :

ghost -clone,MODE=load,SRC=whatever_drive:\37GA_BIT.GHO,DST=1,SZEE -ntchkdsk -sure -auto
