Would somebody be so kind as to direct me to the full set of BCM 50 Smart Updates?

I don't know if this was a false positive, but BCM050.R500.SU.Desktop-005.201311-2.zip was flagged with Trojan:Win32/Ditertag.B and a whack of files were erased.

If any of you are running Windows 10, see if yours is infected.

Avaya's FTP site was full of viruses as I recall.

Thanks in advance for any kind assistance anyone can offer. PS … I'm not upgrading to 6.0. Since when is Line Reversal on Answer (LRA) not a DMS-100 feature for Answer Supervision and Find Me Follow Me?

Don't know about the virus' but from my recollection of working on SxS, Cross Bar, Automatic Electric #1 EAX, GTE #5 EAX and DMS100 CO's normal analog loop lines did not provide Answer Supervision Line Reversal. Only Pre-Pay Coin Phone Lines provided reversal so the phones could determine to collect or return coins.

The old ones didn't but the newer type NT6X18 cards had were software loadable with a behavior profile that was datafilled. Even the ground or loop start aspect wasn't hard wired in the line card.

You could have a single party flat rate loop start line on such a card and then just go into SERVORD ...
ADO LRA (ADd Option Line Reversal on Answer) and then it would ask you for the LEN (Line Equipment #).

Done. And BCM50 Rls 6.0 looks for "voice activity detection" on analog loop start trunks to stop the forked calls from ringing -- not reliable. Phooey. If certain trunks don't give DMS answer supervision within x seconds on toll calls, those calls are terminated.

I could do Direct Inward Dial on analog loop start lines with no winking by just using the the 'LINE' IBNRTE selector. DMS maps all the DIDs to a range of DNs that are incoming only on the BCM and hunts, finds a free one and rings the BCM which answers with DISA or AUTO DN and when it answers, inpulses via DTMF a translation using DIGMAN of the number dialed -- if the extensions don't line up with the internal BCM DNs. The caller hears none of this -- from his point of view ringback takes longer to start. DMS essentially silently keys in the extension that maps to the DID (ie. a target line in DMS) with authentication the caller can't hear. He has no way of directly getting to that line any other way, so it can be AUTO DN. Remote Restrictions on BCM prevents him from doing toll fraud.

ADO COD (Cutoff On Disconnect) ... all the analog line cards on my switch had it ON except of course p-phone line cards, and 1MMS ... and ISDN BRI. Nortel mandated it because of BNR's 1990s analog phones required it to shut off the speaker phone or DTAD or what have you.

You are welcome to access my list of BCM patches via my FTP Server as I have quite a collection of them.

Mine do not have viruses.

"I'm not upgrading to 6.0."
Do you have a ADID installed? What country are you in?
-voice activity detection is for SIP Trunks only
