What is BCM and unified messaging?
Can it be used with Norstar systems as in a CICS or MICS or is this Meridian?

BCM is Business Communications Manager.

It's an other type of KSU system like CICS or MICS including IP telephony and standard Norstar phone.

bcm is a rack mounted over priced box that is only a option if you use it for voice and data. also really made for multi site applications.unified messaging is voice mail on desktop email.

BCM is Norstar's Version of VOIP, Your best application for a BCM's use would be multiple locations more than one that are trying to become transparent to eachother without the need for Ma Bell and a T-1 or E&M point to point expenditure. If you are seeking a single site solution with no off premise employees, than the Norstar MICS or CICS will work fine, if using fiber between the locations you can use the FIBER Ext by MCK to connect if under 1.9 Miles.
