BCM - Volume Issues 1

Has anyone expereinced customers with volume issues on the BCM product? We just installed a bunch and three of the customers, this week, have come back with volume issues. Callers cannot hear them, volume very faint, etc. I ensured they were using the volume bar under key pad and the system is on 'set' volume, not 'system'. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
 
Is this the BCM50? There are a couple of issues, one that needs a patch and another that requires a new cable.
 
We are having the same problems on calls that are forwarded to external numbers. We are on the BCM400 with 3.6. Any thoughts?
 
loaiza: Are you using new phones or old phones from a MICS (or older). Some of the older M-Series phones have these issues on a BCM.

ayking: If you are on analog lines, you may have too much line loss to forward a call out of your system without changing the line loss settings (long CO).

Using loss packages
The Loss package settings allow you to select the appropriate loss/gain and impedance settings for
each line. The setting is based on the terminating switch type and the distance between Business
Communications Manager and the terminating switch.
When measuring the distance from Business Communications Manager to CO and from Business
Communications Manager to PBX systems, use 600 ohms as the termination resistance setting.
A loss of 4 dB corresponds to a cable length of approximately 2700 m (9000 ft).

If you are on TIE lines there is also a Gain Setting to compensate, however whatever you are connected to may have db loss settings both strap/switch of soft settings for the TIE trunk Card.

Some systems (Redwood) had a considerable loss when looping through from DDD trunk to TIE trunk that couldn't be compensated for.
