I am a new guy to BCM, old school Nortel guy. I need to connect two buildings on the same network (two switches connected by MM fiber)with BCM's. One end will be BCM50, one end is BCM400. Will it work within the same LAN, and are there pitfalls I need to know about?

map out a good dialing plan first for both systems.you don't want any conflicts.

If you're talking about putting them on the same ethernet network, then no problem. They're just like any other ethernet device. If you will be connecting ip sets, then that's going to be a little tricky with gateways but just take your time.

As for calling between them, you should have MCDN keycodes in both, then just set them up the way you would any other network between two BCMs.
