BCM Time Server problems 1

I set a BCM 50 at 2.0, BCM 200s and 400s, at 3.6, 3.7, and 4.0 to synch on an NTP server. If I change the setting to manual and change the time on the unit, then change back to NTP the system will report that it contacted the NTP server and change the time accordingly. The problem is that it never connects again. I have set the interval for every 64 seconds, after resetting from every 512 seconds and the units never automatically synch. I have used both the NTP.XXX.XXX format and the IP format for addressing.
Under both formats the time will update one time when changed from NTP to manual and back to NTP but never update again.
Help?

On the 3.X version you have the option of selecting one time only or not. You didn't set this parameter by mistake?

Where is this option? Since I did not set the option, you may have found the problem. I thought I covered it by setting the time check to every XX seconds.

OOPS ! Sorry, I know where it is in the units under 4.0.
I was so involved in the 4.0 units that I did NOT set the time in the older units. I will try it now, but I just rechecked the 4.0 200s, 400s, and a 50. No good. They synched once and never again.

Not sure then. I have a few set to a public NTP server and they seem fine. I'll have a look and re-post if I see something.

Thank you,
I have set the 4.0s to NTP and they just won't update.
Your tip on the under 4.0 units was great and I have set a few, but I can't find a way to verify that they are synching up. Could it be in a log I can't find?
The 4.0 units tell me the last time they synched but I can't find the same service type settings that you pointed me to in the other units.

On 3.X, log into Unified Manager, click on Maintenance, log in, click on Browse Log Folders (at the bottom). There is a folder called NTP. Within it is a day by log of what the NTP service did.

MagnaRGP,
Thank you, for the great help. Now I know my units under 4.0 are working properly. Can't say thanks enough. I am going to go looking for the same thing in the 4.0 units and the 50s.

Maybe the NTP update is working and the screen under administration is not updating? Yeah, I know that is reaching, but for now it is all I have.

I would have sent two stars because when you showed me where the log is, you also provided a tool to trouble shoot drift problems. The time correction factor recorded in the log is a great tool.
