Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to build a "cluster" with a BCM and a Norstar MICS a T1. I know for sure that I have to purchase the MCDN feature for the BCM but I do not know if it comes within the Nortar KS.

Can this be accomplished? I'm sure that this is a interesting task to be done.

Thank you,

DonaVasq

If you are not looking for any Call ID or doing Centralized Voicemail then you don't really need the codes. YOu can tie the 2 systems together using a T1 with E&M Signaling. If however you do want the other then you need MCDN & PRI code for the Norstar.

What is a "cluster" I've never heard that term in Telecom before.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Thanks Cook, Hawks and Everyone... That is good to know... For general culture purposes... =)

What I meant with "cluster" is try to build a system with two or more equipments and making it look as one system. In this case use the Norstar for PSTN gateway and the BCM for IP sets growth and IP trunking as well.

Cluster is used with Cisco IP Telephony.

In Nortel speak, that's Networking.
