I just came accross a job that is requesting to have approx. 160 telephone sets with 4 T1's. They would also like the capability of expanding in the near future to an additional 80-100 telephone sets and an additional 1 or 2 T1's in a different office space on a different floor in the same building.
Would it be a good idea to get 2 seperate systems for each office space and connect them through their network?

What is the limit of T1's that can go on 1 BCM?
I gather that it is only 3 so what would need to be done get the 4th T1 on the system?

They have a large sales center and they have a problem right now that after they have a sales pow wow, the sales reps all jump on the phones at the same time and end up with no available lines. The execs are expecting to have between 100-120 simultaneous calls after their sales pow wow and don't want to be without available lines.

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Three T-1's per BCM or Norstar max. Impossible to get a fourth T-1. You could do two networked BCM's, but if they need that much capacity with that much potential growth, you'd be better off looking at a CS 1000 PBX.

Buy a PBX unless you already own all of the telephones. Then you could consider the networking of two BCMs, but be prepared for a programming nightmare.

Thanks

I didn't think it would work out with the bcm but I was thinking of the option of networking 2 bcm's and adding a 3rd for the future location. I definitely don't want to be stuck with a nightmare so I don't think I'm going down that route.

I'm starting to look into the CS1000 but I'm going to have to reach out to some old friends that used to work on option 71 pbx's to help with the programming.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Are you talking about an option 11c instead of a cs1000?

I think cs1000 is a version number but i'm not sure.

I'm using Rls 25.40B on a Option 11C

Switch Type's
Option 11C Hang's on wall
Option 51
Option 71
Option 81
