Lo folks, I'm trying to design a solution for a client with a unique business plan :

He is setting up a company that rents rooms to businesses on a "full day" or "half day" basis. Each time they book a room they may not get the same one, and he wants them to be able to get their own phone number when they sign up.

He wants them to punch in a code on the phone when they enter the room and the system will automatically route calls to that DID to the specific extension number.

Is this "roaming" format possible? is the BCM the best solution to go for?

One BCM-based solution might be to use IP phones (i2004 or i2002) in these rooms and you could then de-register the phone from the front desk when the room is vacant (from Unified Manager). The will result in the phone displaying a "Enter DN" in the LED panel. When you check a guest in, you could instruct the user which DN to punch into the phone, which could then be de-registered when their use of the room ends.
This would work nicely and the training required to de-register sets thru UM is minimal.
There might be other easy ways of doing this with traditional sets (i.e. T7316 phones), but can't think of any no-brainer ways off the top of my head.

FYI, this website has a BCM forum -- you may want to consider cross-posting to the BCM forum for potentially more ideas
